Hello, I’m Trevor, and Listening Edge Records is my small, independent record label—a registered division of Bach To Basics Inc., my online teaching studio where I’ve been offering piano and theory lessons for over 25 years.

This site was inspired by the many conversations I’ve had with students who were curious about how music gets recorded and released. I studied music production years ago, and thought this would be a fun way to revisit an old hobby with new eyes—and create something educational along the way.

Listening Edge Records is where I explore that process, releasing everything from solo piano recordings to electronic experiments and full albums. Some of it’s rough around the edges, most of it isn’t meant for the mainstream—and that’s part of what makes it fun.

I release everything through CD Baby, and you’ll find it on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and other major platforms. Each album has its own page on the site with streaming links, a bit of backstory, and sometimes a few notes on how it was recorded or produced.

Who’s Behind the Music

Hello again—I’m Trevor, a full-time piano and theory teacher with over 25 years of experience. I’ve spent most of my life helping others learn music, and Listening Edge Records is where I continue exploring it—for myself, and for my students who are curious about music production.

This is my creative space—a place to try new things, revisit old ideas, and stay curious as a hobbyist composer and producer. Whether I’m recording piano, working with synths, or testing new tools, I share the process here to give students a behind-the-scenes look at what music-making can look like beyond the lesson book.
