The Person Behind the Projects
Hello, I’m Trevor — a full-time piano and theory teacher certified by the Royal Conservatory of Music. I’ve been teaching for over 25 years through my studio, Bach To Basics Music, and have been working with students online for more than seven years across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Along the way, I’ve launched a few projects to support the many paths music education can take: Up-Tempo Publishing, where I create low-cost materials to support student learning; Trevor Baron Music, where I share my journey in studying music composition; and Listening Edge Records, a creative hub focused on teaching students about music production and the often-overlooked sides of making music. When you learn to play piano and study music theory, you open the door to so many possibilities — and these are just a few of the directions you can take that journey.
