Meet Trevor

The Person Behind the Projects

More About the Author

Hello, I’m Trevor—a full-time piano and theory teacher, certified by The Royal Conservatory of Music. I’ve been teaching for over 25 years through my studio, Bach To Basics Music, and have worked with students online for more than seven years across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

Over time, I’ve created a few projects to support the different directions music education can take:

  • Up-Tempo Publishing, where I share music and learning materials shaped by real teaching experience

  • Trevor Baron Music, where I explore composition and orchestration in a way that supports independent learning

  • Listening Edge Records, a creative space inspired by students interested in music production and recording

When you study music—whether it’s piano, theory, or creative projects—you’re not just learning pieces. You’re building skills that can take you in all kinds of meaningful directions. These projects are just a few examples of where that path can lead.
