Dy-verse Productions, A independent record label based in San Mateo County. Our Main focus is to gain exposure for underground Hip-Hop/Rap/R&B/Poetry/all music.. Working with record labels from all around the Bay Area released several CD’s, Solo’s,LP’s,EP’s, and Digital Releases. Dy-verse Productions Presents Sweatpants N d-bo’s and The Levey Vol 2 is full of independent emcee’s rappers singers poets available worldwide. Executive Producer Promotion,Recording,Podcaster,Preformer,Beatmaker,Youtube TV show,Digital Releases, Professional releases, Interviewer, and anything to expand our music
What are you most proud of musically?
I feel that help recording and doing promotion for releases two cd’s under my record label as executive producer and seeing the artist that make the music around me;make a name for them
How would you describe your music?
I would describe our music to be very diverse, all different styles of hip-hop,rap,singers,emcee,poets,producers. I wide variety of different Flavors of music.
How long have you been playing music?
I have been involved in the process of making and promoting music, since High School, where i promoted for mainstream artists, soon after i start my own record label Dy-verse Productions. I started rapping and making beats a few years after releasing our first cd.
Who was your musical inspiration?
i think seeing what goes on behind the scenes of some of my favorite artists Bone Thugs,and The Outlaws and Psycopathic Records. Seeing that made me what to promote independent artists and maybe make them famous.
How involved are you in making music, writing, performing, recording, mixing, etc?
If I am recording and making new music , The emcee and me have control of how they work,I haven’t signed any contracts,I am just making the music and promoting. Gaining exposure for independent artists and producers.
What are your goals and aspirations as a musician?
I am working on releasing our third compilation called Same Shirt Different Day. I would like to release that, along with doing 50 Digital Releases from artists repping Dy-verse Productions. I am also working on a new mixtape with Roberto Sanchez, and i would like to be able to make a solo artist K-rek release Toxic Files and do a music video for it.
How important is music in your life?
I like to do music and i like the time it takes to put it all together, and be able to show the final packages to the people and get out names to new levels and into their ears, Being called on for an interview and having out music play makes me famous and one day rich.
Do you get nervous when you perform?
Oh yeah, even if have a couple weeks before the date of the show or interview< the moment i get the opportunity its a moment of joy and still nervous if I’m going to sound dumb or not know an answer.
Do your family and friends support you pursuing your passion for music?
Yeah, Most of my family is making music, I have songs with my brother and father, My girl supports the music i make and helps me and listens to my interview, and congrats me on stuff we do.
What advice would you give to young musicians starting out?
Keep making your music and networking, if someone looks like he likes your music tell them about it. Also stay in school and to got college, there is a huge network of people and knowledge, So get your education on..
Do you use social media to share your music with others?
I use social music to share my music. But i also stay social and tell people face to face about our music, but you can check out our social media sites.
Do you write your own music?
I write my own lyrics, and i also make beats. I also work with artists and producers who make there own music.
What makes music special for you?
I think its special to me because i started something and its making a lot of moves and taking music and people to new places. I like to help people out, and if helping people out helps me make something of it. Its all the better/.
Do you ever have trouble finding time to work on your music?
Theres always some time for doing something for my music, its not hard. Its more hard finding time to do music we the other people making music with me. The hardest part is finding time to go out to different places and sell our CD’s in a climate of so may dl’s.
Do you ever get burnt out working on music?
There is times where i feel like there no point of doing and running the record label, people talk bad about it, people don’t want to put the work in or. But all the time is worth it because even when i am sleeping the music is being herd on the video is being played, so every good opportunity bring positivity’s and lights the fire again.
How important is it to fit music into your daily life?
If I don’t do something for my music, its like i am missing an opportunity to expand, I make time for my relationship, my family,friends and personal time. I mean if i see somebody i know on a trip to the city, i may hand them my card and tell them about my record label. I continue to enjoy my day.
What was your first memory of music?
My first memory of music is dancing to Micheal Jackson.
